ame Secure East London Line Projects

ame have recently been awarded 4 new overground stations which form part of the 1 billion pound East London Line development. The stations, cladded both internally & externally include a full range of ame products including Proteus hr Composite Rainscreen, aria Louvres, aria Louvered Doors, and Proteus Acoustic Panels.

The Proteus hr Rainscreen specification calls for a "Canvas" stainless steel front skin, structurally bonded to a honeycomb core for strength, rigidity and overall cost effectiveness.

New stations include:

- Shoreditch High St. Station
- Hoxton Station
- Haggerston Station
- Dalston Station

The extended East London line will become part of the Overground network when it opens in 2010 - running from Dalston Junction to West Croydon, Crystal Palace and New Cross. It will eventually link with the North London line at Highbury & Islington in 2011, creating the beginning of an orbital service around London.

The main works on the line are being undertaken by a consortium of the engineering and construction groups Balfour Beatty and Carillion.
